About us

The loss of a pet is devastating. The grief is deep, and it’s unlike anything else. When we lost our 16-year-old cat, Mahalo, the absence was felt by everyone—including our two other cats, who had been raised by him.

When we brought Mahalo’s ashes home in a standard urn, it felt heavy and still. It didn't feel like him.

We searched for something that reflected his bright spirit, something that would catch the sun and fill our home with rainbows. But couldn't find it. The options available required mailing his ashes away, which I couldn't bring myself to do. That felt like letting him go again.

So, in the middle of grief, we created what we were searching for.

We designed a sun-catching memorial that can be filled at home, keeping your pet safely in your hands. When we hung the first one in Mahalo’s favorite sunbeam, the transformation was overwhelming. Watching his siblings play in that light, surrounded by rainbows created by their brother, felt like a bridge to the love we still carry.

Years later, when the sun hits the crystal and the rainbows appear, it feels like he is right here with us.
